Reporting Instructions for the Farmer Rancher Grant Program
Register Your Project
Once you receive notification that your proposal has been funded, there are a couple of things that you will need to do so that you can submit your reports.
You will receive an email from MySAREMailer explaining that your project has been added to the MySARE reporting web site. The message will contain a Project Number and Code which you will need. Once you receive that email and have your Project Number and Code, go to www.sare.org/mysare/login.aspx and register as a user by clicking on the Register button. Fill out the form and make sure you remember your Username and Password, as these will be used later on when you access your project information to submit annual and final reports.
When you get to the Confirmation screen, click on Go To MySARE.
Under “My SARE-Funded Projects” click on “Retrieve New Project.” You will need to type in the Project Number and Code and then click on Add Project.
You should now be at the page with your name followed by MySARE.
The first thing you will need to do is fill out the Project Overview information. Type in the title of your project from your proposal and the amount of SARE funds received. Click on the Save General Information button.
Click on the Add a Participant button and fill out forms for each person that is a key participant on your project.
Click on the Add/Modify button under Project Profile and fill out both pages of this form. This information is critical to allow users to search the SARE Projects Database.
Click on the Create New Proposal Narrative button and copy and paste the Summary/Abstract and Objectives/Performance Targets from your proposal.
When you are finished with the Project Overview section click on Submit for Approval. This will send a message to the Regional Administrator.
Annual Progress Reports
Copy and paste the report narrative into the Summary section on the MySARE website. You do not have to break the report up into the headings on the page. Click on the submit button once you've copied and pasted your report. Email the budget to Joan Benjamin.
Final Reports
For final reports, copy and paste the report narrative into the Summary section. Click on the submit button once you've copied and pasted your report. Email all other forms to Joan Benjamin.

If Problems Arise
Resolve any questions about using the online reporting system early on, since you'll be using this online system to submit annual progress reports as well as your final report. Reports not submitted on time may delay the payment of invoices. If you have any problems send an email to Kim Kroll, kkroll@sare.org.
