North Dakota Horticulture Tour for Educators

NDSU Extension, United Tribes Technical College, Dakota College at Bottineau, Turtle Mountain Community College, Cankdeska Cikana Community College, the Carrington Research Extension Center, and SARE are sponsoring a horticulture professional development tour for educators on the 23rd and 24th of July in northern and central North Dakota.  Below is the current agenda.

Meals will be on your own, and most of attendees will likely be lodging at the Spirit Lake Casino Hotel (http://spiritlakecasino.com/lodging/hotel/) on the evening of the 23rd.  Those interested in coming along should reserve their rooms ASAP.
 
Those interested in riding together in a van or bus from Bismarck to Bottineau to Belcourt to Fort Totten to Carrington and back to Bismarck should contact Frank Kutka.   

Educators from North Dakota interested in coming along are welcome to apply for SARE professional development funds so long as they use the information in programming later in the year and next. Contact Frank Kutka to apply. If you are from out of state you are welcome to contact the SARE coordinator in your state for possible travel funding.

JULY 23rd 
Noon Lunch on our own in Bottineau
12:30-2:30 PM Tour of Entrepreneurial Center for Horticulture at Dakota College at Bottineau
2:30-3:15 PM Load up and drive to Anishinabe Learning, Cultural, and Wellness Center at Turtle Mountain Community College
3:15-5:15 PM Tour of TMCC Horticulture projects and talk with Rolette County Extension
5:15-6:45 PM Load up and drive to Spirit Lake Casino Hotel near Fort Totten (dinner on your own in Belcourt first or in Fort Totten)
 
JULY 24th 
Breakfast on our own at Casino
7:45 AM Load up and drive to CCCC
8-10 AM Tour of CCCC Horticulture projects
10-11 AM Load up and drive to Carrington Research Extension Center
11 AM to 12:30 PM Tour of CREC Fruit Project
Lunch on our own and head home!
