Karl Hoppe serves as the co-coordinator of the North Dakota SARE program. Dr. Karl Hoppe is the Area Extension Specialist for Livestock Systems at the North Dakota State University Carrington Research Extension Center where he has been teaching nutrition and management for beef cows and feedlot cattle for over 19 years to North Dakota cattle producers.  A native of Iowa, Dr. Hoppe has taught and led extension programs for a wide variety of  beef cattle topics including nutrition and ration formulation,  feedlot management, and cow herd management.   Dr. Hoppe has conducted cattle feedout projects  for the past 15 years where cattle producers consign cattle to benchmark the performance of their cattle to other herds.

Bill Hodous serves as co-coordinator of the North Dakota SARE program with Ron Wiederholt. Bill serves Ramsey County (Devils Lake, N.Dak) as an Extension agent in the fields of agriculture, horticulture, marketing and livestock. He has been at his present location for 9 years. Prior to becoming an extension agent Bill farmed with his wife Deb and three children for 22 years in Ramsey County. Bill has a B.S. degree in Ag. Econ and a M.S. in Agricultural Education from the North Dakota State University.
